INTRODUCTION TO WOODWORK

with NIKKI and COURTNEY

If you've not tried your hand at woodwork before, this is the perfect workshop for you.  Our small class sizes and supportive, friendly approach will enable you learn about common woodworking tools and equipment and gain confidence in their use whilst also doing good for the community, building items to support the work of our partner Urban Ark - Manawa Taiao.  

Session includes:

• timber basics
• measuring equipment
• chiselling
• hand and electric saws
• hand and electric planes
• drills and drivers 
• cutting and grinding metal
• introduction to joints and fixings

What to expect:

All materials and equipment are provided

1/2 hour break for lunch - bring your own or buy local

All workshop PPE (eye, ear, respiratory protection) will be available

Maximum of 6 people per workshop (minimum of 4 to run)
