This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Learn to provide a deep level of relaxation for your family, friends, and clients with this head and neck massage using Zen Shiatsu. You will learn a simple but deeply effective routine to ease whole body tension, slowing down the mind, and switching from 'fight and flight' to 'rest, recharge, and regenerate'.

Zen Shiatsu was developed in the 1970s by Shizuto Masunaga Sensei when he combined the Shiatsu massage he had learned from Tokujiro Namakoshi and the classical philosophies and principles of traditional East Asian Medicine.

Marc Webster is a 4th generation lineage holder of Zen Shiatsu and has a passion for Oriental medicine and movement systems and how to use them for self help and healthcare within your family unit or in clinic as a practitioner. With almost 30 years experience in Zen Shiatsu, acupuncture, moxibustion, Chinese herbs, and Chinese martial arts, Marc will provide much more than just a physical routine for you. You will learn how to take back responsibility of the self healthcare of yourself and others. This short course can open the pathway to more comprehensive whole body sessions using Zen Shiatsu.

This Introductory course will be a prerequisite to going forward and learning whole body routines, joint mobilisation, meridian stretching, and abdominal, pulse, and tongue diagnosis. We can venture into food as medicine, herbal medicine, movement as medicine and so much more.
