About the Class:

In this beginner-friendly workshop you will learn four basic embroidery stitches and one basic beading application technique. There will be opportunity to play with and explore your sense of creativity using these new skills in a vibrant classroom setting. You will leave with the beginnings of an abstract embroidery project in an embroidery hoop. All supplies provided.

About the Artist: Sofia Trovato

Sofia Trovato is a visual artist, plant lover and dancer who lives in Hillsborough, NC. Inspired by nature, she started embroidering more seriously while experiencing chronic back pain. Embroidery brought relief in the face of the unknown, a calming and relaxing practice during cycles of intense pain, and beyond. Embroidery continues to be creative gift in the face of life's unknowns.
