From birth we start taking direction from parents and as we grow this increases to teachers, medical professionals, sport and hobby coaches, specialists, managers, lawyers, accountants, advisors, therapists, friends, family and of course the plethora of info sources on Google and social media.

When we do a group exercise class dictated by someone else they are typically not aware of or considering our very unique journey and physical condition in that moment. We really do a good job of strengthening our external solution muscle…our dependence on others.

But when do we listen to ourselves? More specifically our bodies? And how often do we strengthen and respect this muscle?

"Know thyself" is a foundational principle of all spiritual and philosophical teachings. "But if you do not come to know yourself then you exist in poverty - secret teaching of Jesus. "Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom - Aristotle". "Knowing others is wisdom, knowing yourself is Enlightenment - Lao Tzu".

We have an ache or tight muscle or sore back and we acknowledge the discomfort, but for an answer we then look outside of us.

This class provides a wonderful moment to spend a little time getting to know ourselves better...and give thanks and love to our bodies.

There is definitely a need and value in external experts to help, but this class is about spending a moment to acknowledge ourselves, turn our antennas inward, and to show love and respect for our bodies by saying ‘we are listening…show me what I need to know’.

Welcome to this 1hr class of intuitive healing movement where we will:

Take a most valuable moment to pause, and invite communication with our bodies with love and respect and ask our bodies to show us how they would like to move to help heal an ache, soreness, stiffness, pain or strengthen a weak area.

We will then spend 12 minutes exploring how our bodies want to move (or stay in a position, like a stretch) and then pause and discuss what came up, what we noticed, what we discovered. This is where the gold is! Our self-talk can be quite the enemy and we will have fun sharing and discussing it and how to deal with it.

We will then do another 12 minutes of movement to allow us to focus on different or specific aspects based on our group discussion, and we will note if our self-talk has improved.

We will conclude the session with a massive thank you and acknowledgement of our bodies (wonderful show of self-love), and a group discussion of take aways and what we might do differently moving forward.

Who is this class for?

Suggested for 8 yrs and upwards, and particularly for people that either have, or tend to get a niggling/annoying ache or tight/weak muscle that they would like to fix or prevent.

The technique you will learn becomes a healing tool in your tool box you can take anywhere including on holiday and remote locations, and can reduce or eliminate your need to pay for other treatments.
