Join RMBWA for an enjoyable evening of networking, fellowship and knowledge sharing with Simone Spencer, Deputy Director General, Strategy and International Engagement at the Western Australian Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation.
Simone will present on the strategy that sits behind Investment and Trade Western Australia’s international engagement efforts and how the State’s ‘feet on the ground in market’ are working to attract investment and support local business to grow their operations globally.

Simone and her team provide strategic policy advice on state economic development issues and help to both shape and promote investment and trade opportunities.
Simone’s team includes the State’s network of international offices who promote Western Australia and its industries across the world.
Simone has a background in shaping and managing complex government policy and reform and has had the benefit of working in a wide variety of fields from strategic ICT policy, energy trading, capital works investment, funding and contracting reform to community sector development.
Over the last 16 years Simone has held senior executive positions across the Western Australian Departments of the Premier and Cabinet, Treasury and Communities. Prior to this she worked in the United Kingdom.
International trade is the lifeblood of the Western Australian economy. Future growth across all the State’s priority sectors will come from increasing engagement with our global export partners.
The State’s network of Invest and Trade WA Offices around the world have never played a more critical role in supporting the ongoing prosperity of Western Australian industry.
