Investing in Not-for-Profit Capacity in Regional NSW - Bega Valley: Engaging & Sustaining Volunteers Workshop

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Local community groups and not-for-profit organisations are facing ongoing challenges in retaining and engaging volunteers and continue the valuable work we all do.

From FRRR’s work in the Bega Valley, through the Investing in Not-for-Profit Capacity in Regional NSW (INFPC) program, we know this is an important issue for many local groups.

Please join other not-for-profit and community organisations based in the Bega Valley at a thought-provoking workshop to explore these challenges, identify new ideas and tactics and share experiences.

Together we will:

● Make connections with others facing similar challenges;

● Identify fresh ideas and possible ways forward;

● Create possibilities for shared resources; and

● Identify simple next steps for your organisation.

    This workshop is for you if you are:

    ● Involved in a community group or not-for-profit based in and serving the Bega Valley communities; and

    ● A volunteer, board member, or paid team member.

      We encourage you to come along with at least one other representative from your organisation to ensure a diversity of perspectives, to build strength and to get the most out of the workshop.

      The workshop will be facilitated by Campfire Co-op and their local team. People who’ve experienced this highly participatory workshop style have found them restful, engaging, inspiring and fun. Bring your curiosity, care, understanding, ideas and passion, or just yourselves with a willingness to listen and share.

      Please note, attendance for the whole time is most beneficial, and highly encouraged, although we understand if that’s not possible. Please arrive ready to start at 9.30am.
