    Event description

Value-adding by transforming agricultural produce into consumer packaged food is a key industry for Australia - one with tremendous growth potential. At present, food and beverage value-adding is a major contributor to the Australian economy, providing more than 247 000 jobs and generating more than $29.1 billion in export value.

As global demand continues to rise for quality food and beverage, fresh and packaged, more businesses are adopting new technologies to get scale, create and capture more value, and position themselves to harvest for returns. Western Australia is well placed to be the epicentre of this burgeoning growth, with a reputation for being clean and green, strong international ties, and innovations in freight and logistics.

So, how do we get to share in this value, assess the best investment opportunities, and know what markets to engage with where consumers are happy to pay a premium?

This exciting half-day masterclass is kindly hosted by Commonwealth Bank, in partnership with Perth Angels. It is also the launch of the ScaleUP WA program bringing together innovative agri-food business ventures, leading practitioners and industry stakeholders, the event aims to cover 3 parts to include Tech and the Terms, the Transformation Opportunity and the Investment Opportunity.

Join our special guests who will deliver keynotes followed by insightful panel discussions with Q&A highlighting key issues, considerations, and best practice for investing in these businesses who are creating and capturing real value. Meet delegates of the 2023 ScaleUP WA cohort as well as former participants transforming industries, as well as active and aspiring investors, and key representatives from government and corporates.
