    Nathan
    is a seasoned public speaker, writer, manager, and start-up enthusiast, with expertise in Financial Crime Intelligence, Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Terrorism Financing, and Regulatory Risk. He authored "The Lucky Laundry: How the Aussie Economy Got Hooked on the World's Dirtiest Cash," published by HarperCollins in June 2022.


    Nathan is passionate about leading high-performance teams, identifying opportunities, developing talent, and supporting people in achieving their career goals. At Thomson Reuters, he plays a key role in spotting emerging threats, typologies, solutions, and commercial opportunities in the Financial Crime & Risk field.

    He has extensive experience in building innovative, tech-based businesses from the start-up stage to private equity investment and corporate acquisition. He has a successful track record in the "regtech" sector, with founding roles at BlueFrontier Studios, Complinet Australia (sold to Thomson Reuters in 2010), and later with Thomson Reuters Risk business (sold to Blackstone as part of a $17bn deal in October 2018).

    Additionally, Nathan is a program expert with the US-based Financial Services Volunteer Corps, offering support to developing countries in their fight against terrorism financing, money laundering, and other serious financial crimes. 

    He is a recipient of the "Financial Crime Fighter 2022 award recipient — Macquarie University's Financial Integrity Hub" and "Walkley Book Award Longlist 2022 — "The Lucky Laundry: How the Aussie economy got hooked on the world's dirtiest cash"
