IP Reach for Creative Industries
Event description
Want to unravel the ins and outs of intellectual property (IP)Â including copyright for the creative industries? Presented by Westmark IP in partnership with the Creative Corner, join Mark Pullen and guest speaker Guy Provan as they give you the insights into IPÂ on Thursday 14 November from 9am to 12pm. Mark and Guy will also be available from 1pm to 4pm for free 1:1 confidential appointments that can be booked on the day.
For creative industries, intellectual property (IP) and commercial agreements provide vital tools to safeguard rights and generate business value from creative works. Ownership of IP can help creatives obtain appropriate recognition and compensation for their work. This workshop will cover copyright and other forms of IP, which type of IP is best suited to the creative endeavours, as well as IP ownership, confidentiality and trade secrets. Â
This workshop is suitable for all creative industries, innovators and business owners.Â
IP reach is supported through the X-TEND WA program provided under the New Industries Fund by the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation. Also supported by Creative Tech Village, Arts Margaret River and Margaret River HEART.
