IPA Masterclass at Bridge Road Brewers Brunswick
Event description
Join Brew Master Mark Schipano for an IPA Masterclass at Bridge Road Brewers Brunswick. Learn the ins and outs of an iconic and ever-evolving style of beer - The IPA.
"The style of IPA or India Pale Ale originated in the late 18th century when George Hodgson, a brewer at Bow Brewery in East London began sending his Pale Ale to India packed with extra hops and higher alcohol content. Both the hops and the high alcohol helped to preserve the beer during it's long sea journey from England to India."
Take a dive into the style and how it's been adapted and evolved through the centuries with a deep dive on 4 unique styles of IPA.
The experience will begin at 6pm at the Bluestone Way entrance. Begin with the guided beer tasting. Followed by a group tour of our Brunswick East Brewery - a behind the scenes look at what goes into making independent craft beer.
The night will finish off with a Q&A in the Public Bar.
