The NSW Government has engaged IPART to monitor the performance of and competition within the NSW biodiversity credits market for 3 years from 2022-23. This is the third year that IPART is reviewing the biodiversity credits market.

We have published a Discussion Paper with an overview of market activity in 2024-25 and our proposed focus areas for monitoring the NSW biodiversity credits market this year. We are holding workshops to hear from stakeholders on how the market is working for them. Each workshop is designed for a specific type of participant in the market:

Workshop 1: For credit buyers (Tuesday 11 November, 12:30 - 1:30 PM)
Workshop 2: For third-parties (brokers, accredited assessors etc) (Thursday 13 November, 1:00 - 2:00 PM)
Workshop 3: For credit sellers (Tuesday 18 November, 10:00 - 11:00 AM)
