    Event description

IPART public hearing – Broken Hill water price reviews

IPART will hold a public hearing on Tuesday 6 September 2022 for our review of the maximum prices that Essential Water can charge for its water and wastewater services from 1 January 2023 to 30 June 2026.

The public hearing will also discuss our review of the maximum prices that WaterNSW can charge for water transportation services provided by the Murray River to Broken Hill Pipeline.

The public hearing will provide an overview of our draft decisions and key issues for these two price reviews. Most importantly, it will provide an opportunity for the community to ask questions and comment on the draft decisions and key issues for the review.

We will hold the public hearing in person in Broken Hill. If you would like to attend the public hearing but cannot make it in person, you can participate online. We will provide further details about the local venue, online platform and the agenda closer to the public hearing date.

We released our Draft Reports on 7 June 2022 and we are seeking community feedback on our draft decisions by 9 September 2022. We will consider all comments at the public hearing and issues raised in submissions before releasing the Final Reports in November 2022.

This event is free and open to the public. Once you have completed your Ticket order, you will receive an email with details for the event.

Please email Maria Tortura if you have technical difficulties or require further information.
