Abstract: Digitalisation has introduced new cyber security threats by expanding the attack surface, increasing the volume and sophistication of attacks and creating new vulnerabilities through interconnected systems and cloud technologies. Increased connectivity, particularly with the Internet of Things (IoT), provides more entry points for cybercriminals. Traditional perimeter-based security like NDR, EDR and XDR are not sufficient. Once breached, legacy networks allow lateral movement, turning breaches into organisational crises. In this Professional Development session, in 3 modules, we will cover the ‘Why’ of Zero Trust and Micro-segmentation, Technical Architecture and Implementation and Trends and Future-State Architecture.
