    GETTING THERE ⛴️🚍

There are only 2 companies going to the island: our sponsor SeaLink (vehicle ferry + passenger ferry) and Stradbroke Flyer (water taxi only). Pre-bookings are essential. All ferries from the mainland to the Island leave from Cleveland and arrive in Dunwich (North Stradbroke Island). Stradbroke Flyer is the first terminal and then the SeaLink terminals are after on Emmett Drive, Cleveland.

There are limited ferry passes available - to ensure you and your friends arrive to the festival on time, we recommend booking your ferry passes early. No bookings required for Water Taxi passengers. Carpooling is not only a great way to look after the planet & have fun with your friends, but also to save on money!

For more information on how to get to the festival, and how to book all available travel options, head to our website: https://www.islandvibe.com.au/getting-there

    THE FESTIVAL SITE 🎪

Once you and your crew have made it to the beautiful main island, you can jump on a bus, follow the signs to Point Lookout, or use maps to journey towards our gorgeous Festival Site, located across from the Bowls Club, at Point Lookout Oval, E Coast Rd, Point Lookout QLD 4183.

    CAMP ONLY AT DESIGNATED CAMPGROUNDS
Free camping and van camping has been flagged by local authorities as a deal breaker for Island Vibe. We urge all patrons to seek out the many accommodation options on the island - from holiday houses, hostels, resorts and campgrounds.
Visit the Accommodation page on our website for more information on accommodation options.

    CAMPING OPTIONS

We are offering 2 camping options.

2WD and Van access - Our event partners Grounded Permaculture will be operating a campground approximately 7km from Dunwich. Look for the large G sign on the roadside. Facilities include compost toilets and drinking water. This site is accessible by public bus and festival shuttle.

    4WD STRADDIE ADVENTURES CAMPING

Uncle Mark from Straddie Adventures has a wonderful beachside camp 5km down Main Beach. Perched next to an incredible freshwater swimming billabong, facilities include compost toilets, drinking water, Swags and 4WD  shuttle to and from the festival site.

Call Uncle Mark 0430 074555 to make arrangements.

    NO BEACH FIRES
There is a real danger of a stray spark from a beach fire blowing into the forest and causing a bushfire. This rule isn't to dampen your fun, fires pose a huge risk to the people, animals and infrastructure of Minjerribah.

    PUBLIC DRINKING
Please keep any consumption of alcohol to your campsite/accommodation or public bar. Roaming the streets with alcohol will result in fines from the police and reflects poorly on the festival.

    PUBLIC NUDITY
We urge all patrons to pack boardies and bikinis for the beach. As tempting as it is to get some sun on the nether regions, there have been repetitive complaints to council over beach nudity. This in turn makes it difficult for Island Vibe to get a council permit, and no permit - equals no fun!

We urge all patrons to abide by the council rules, Emergency Services advice and cultural sensitivities of the island community. Please ensure you have accommodation booked and celebrate responsibly. Thank you!! x

What You Need To Present At The Festival Gates

You will need to bring your ticket printed out or on a mobile device to be scanned at the gate for entry to the festival, as well as a photo ID.
We highly recommend that you DOWNLOAD or PRINT your ticket BEFORE COMING as there is limited signal at the gate to access your ticket online.
The name on your e-ticket must match your photo ID to gain entry.
