Description

40 Tasmanian islands. One extraordinary journey. From the author of Eat Wild Tasmanian and Eat MORE Wild Tasmanian, both Fullers non-fiction bestsellers in their year of publication, Islands of the Island State is a celebration of Tasmania's offshore islands.

Part travel narrative, part natural and cultural history, and richly illustrated throughout with more than 600 photographs, the book documents Rees Campbell's circumnavigation of Tasmania to visit 40 islands. Along the way, she explores each island's geology, history, wildlife, plants and unique character, sharing the stories that make these places distinct.

Rees concluded each journey by preparing and eating a wild food meal as though marooned on the island.

Come and join us for the Burnie author conversation with Tanya Linden about this fascinating book, a blend of adventure, place-based storytelling and wild food exploration. Books available for purchase cash or EFT.

This event is FREE to attend.
