🏊‍♂️ Learn to Swim with ISOC UNSW – Term 2, 2025

Build water confidence, learn essential swimming skills, and connect with fellow UNSW Muslims. Join ISOC UNSW's subsidised 8-week beginner swimming program, run with UNSW Fitness & Aquatic Centre, focusing on water and beach safety.

🗓️ Program Details

• Dates: Every Friday from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, starting on Friday, 13th June 2025, and concluding on Friday, 1st August 2025.
• Registration Deadline: Must be registered by 3:00 PM on Friday, 6th June 2025
Location: UNSW Fitness & Aquatic Centre, Gate 2 B5, High Street, Kensington NSW 2052.

📋 Program Inclusions

• Separate swimming lanes for brothers and sisters.
• FREE Access: Enjoy complimentary access to the UNSW Fitness & Aquatic Centre pool throughout the program to encourage practice in your own time.
• Welcome Session: Meet your fellow swimmers and instructors, and get introduced to the program’s expectations.
  

⚠️ Important things to note:

• Participants must be 18 years or older.
• A non-refundable fee of $80 per person covers the entire 8-week term.
• Only for new and beginner-level swimmers.
• This program is intended for new and beginner-level swimmers only.
• Attendance Policy:
  • Participants are expected to attend all scheduled sessions to fully benefit from the program.
  • Missing two consecutive sessions without a valid reason may result in ineligibility to enroll in the subsequent term.
• ISOC reserves the right to cancel the event without prior notice. In the event of cancellation, a full refund will be issued.

FAQ

I am not a UNSW staff or student. Can I join the program?

Yes, absolutely. All ISOC UNSW events are open to everyone. However, you must be 18 or older and a member of ISOC UNSW to participate.

Can I pay cash to avoid the fee?

I am keen to join, but it is sold out. What should I do?

Please join the waitlist. Once more spots become available, we will send you an email to complete your payment. You will have 12 hours to complete the transaction. This does not guarantee your spot in the program, but we will refund your fees if we are unable to provide you with a spot.

Do you offer a separate pool for women?

The swimming program is run by the UNSW Fitness and Aquatic Centre. Unfortunately, they do not offer separate pools. However, the swimming lanes will be separated, and a female instructor will be provided upon our request. Additionally, a separate changing room is available
