HTA and Reimbursement in Australia: Lessons from 20 Years and Priorities for the Next 20
About the workshop
THEMA is turning 20!
To mark this milestone, THEMA is fully sponsoring a one-day workshop, co-hosted with ISPOR Australia Chapter, bringing together the HTA community for a day of learning, discussion, and connection - overlooking the waters of Darling Harbour. All registration revenue will support the HTA community through the ISPOR Australia Chapter and donations to THEMA's charity partners, PanKind and the Childhood Dementia Initiative.
The workshop will bring together leaders from the HTA community to explore practical lessons from decades of Australian reimbursement decision-making and the future of HTA and patient access.
Drawing on 20 years of experience across the HTA landscape, THEMA has curated a program designed to provide greater insight into both how to approach reimbursement submissions and how they are evaluated. The workshop will create opportunities for those who prepare and evaluate submissions to share their perspectives, alongside key insights from patient representatives, government, and other stakeholders, to explore a central question:
How do we optimise the quality of submissions, their evaluation, decision-making and implementation for the benefit of patients?
The program features perspectives from across the HTA community, including:
Patient representatives
Industry members
Evaluators
Committee members
Government representatives and policy makers
Speakers and sessions will be announced as the agenda is finalised.
The workshop will be followed by an opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the HTA community, overlooking Darling Harbour - a fitting way to mark THEMA's 20th anniversary and round out the year together.
Places are strictly limited, so register now to secure your spot.
We thank everyone who has worked with or supported THEMA over our 20 years, and look forward to welcoming you this December.
