    Event description

    Join us on
Wednesday, February 21, from 7:00-8:30 at the Eastside Jewish Commons for a conversation with Jimmy Taber of the Israel-based Abraham Initiatives about the state ofJewish-Arab relations in Israel.

Building a truly shared society remains more crucial than ever, as the threat of intercommunal violence in mixed communities looms large, workplaces, and other shared spaces navigate the challenges of bringing people back together and divisions between Jewish and Palestinian Israelis face a new moment of crisis.

The Abraham Initiatives is an Israeli organization working hard on all of these issues and more. It’s powerful work on building a shared society and advocating for equality has fostered ground-breaking initiatives that has Israeli citizens reaching across the deepest divisions to create a future of coexistence, cooperation and understanding.

Please join us as we explore what needs to be done to protect past gains, prevent future violence, and envision a different future – one that is fully equal and shared. Please bring any questions you may have about the on-the-ground reality of shared living in Israel.
