CHANCHA VIA CIRCUITO (ARG) & BARRIO LINDO (LIVE - ARG)

On Saturday the 1st of June, we will host a very special night in Meanjin, with two international artists we have been following for many years and who are inspiration to us.
Chancha Via Circuito is a pioneering project that about 15 years ago started recovering Argentinian and Latin America folklore in general, and re-versioned it to put it in the map of the global electronic dance music.
Together with other projects such as Nicola Cruz or Matanza, they called the attention of many.

Agustin, aka Barrio Lindo is another of a cohort of this pioneering artists. He, together with El Buho, started a record label called Shika-Shika, which has been the screen for many others that came after them, and continue being one of the most important labels of this movement.

We also have Bolivian dance group Bolivia Marka, sharing their cultural heritage and the various dances that hail from Bolivia.
The dances undertaken by the members of Bolivia Marka are representative of dances from the world-heritage recognised Oruro Carnaval which takes place annually in Bolivia. The Oruro carnaval showcases a melting-pot of cultural fusion of the indigenous people of Bolivia.

We are stoked to start the celebrations for the winter's arrival, always with some thoughts on how we celebrate around the Andes: as an opportunity to be reborn, and start a new year with the right energy.
