It's about love - slow sewing workshop @ Space2B

These workshops are about building connection and community through sharing stories and slow sewing. By coming together, sharing stories of love, feeling part of something bigger, connecting with communities that are often excluded or marginalised and giving space to voices and stories that often aren't given opportunities to share.

Through the workshops, participants will be invited to share something they love. They would then hand sew a small square, using recycled and rescued fabric, that represents something they love - this could be anything! Each square would then be sewn together to form a larger community textile that could become a wall hanging or quilts for those in the local community.

This will also be an opportunity for participants to potentially learn and share a variety of skills and to connect in a nurturing and respectful space.

You don't need to know how to sew to attend. All materials will be provided.

The workshops will be led with access at it's heart so please let me know what you might need to be part of the workshop.
