Step into a musical voyage where sun-drenched Italian landscapes meet the inner worlds of German Romanticism. This unique program draws from Italienisches Liederbuch—Italian folk poetry rendered into German by Paul Heyse—and set by composers Hugo Wolf, Joseph Marx, Hermann Goetz, Arnold Mendelssohn, and Johannes Brahms.

25th Anniversary Festival Description:

dell’Arte Opera Ensemble launches its 25th Anniversary Festival with Voice of Her Heart — a powerful opening concert featuring settings of Frauenliebe und -leben by Robert Schumann and Carl Loewe. Featuring distinguished alumni and composers, the program also shines a spotlight on works by Clara Schumann, Fanny Hensel, Alma Mahler, Martha Sullivan, Valerie Saalbach, and Ellen Mandel.

The celebration continues with a timely and resonant production of Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito, libretto by Pietro Metastasio and Caterino Mazzolà.

The festival also presents a captivating program drawn from Italienisches Liederbuch—Italian folk poetry translated into German by Paul Heyse and set to music by Hugo Wolf, Joseph Marx, Hermann Goetz, Arnold Mendelssohn, and Johannes Brahms.
