ITAR, EAR and Australian Export Controls Training and Workshop

Day One (21 September): Basic Training

The basic training day will provide an overview of US and Australian export controls. The course is taught from an Australian perspective, with case studies and explanations about how we use the ITAR exemption, TAAs, letters of General Correspondence and other approvals to transact in controlled goods and technology. You will come away understanding what controls you need to have in place to manage technology under the ITAR, EAR and Australia’s DTCA.

Day Two (22 September): Advance Training and Workshop

The Advanced Training Day will help participants understand more detailed information related to the management of export-controlled technology, The Workshop Day will allow participants to work on policies, procedures and other tools used by the business to safeguard controlled technology. Attendees will leave the training with three work-products they can take back to the business and use to immediately uplift their compliance program.

Day One is suitable for project managers, engineers, procurement specialists, HR professionals, commercial managers and SME executives that are seeking a foundational understanding of export controls requirements in the US and AU.

Day Two is designed for staff that have responsibility for managing export-controlled technology on behalf of the business.
