    For International Women's Day 2024 we will discuss the theme "Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress." This theme encapsulates PMW's mission to champion the cause of women, particularly migrant women, and accelerate their progress in the professional world. We believe that investing in women is not just a matter of social justice but a decisive aspect of sustainable, inclusive, and balanced growth. 

    Our Speakers


    We’ve brought together some powerful speakers for this amazing event:


    Diana Santibanez - Diana is an Investment Analyst and Creator of the Podcast "No Second Class Citizens". She is an experienced professional woman (and mum) who has accumulated over 12 years of experience in the field of Investments. Her journey as a migrant has inspired her to commit to a positive change in the world through sustainable investment practices. As the host of the podcast "No Second Class Citizens", she engages in insightful conversations with a diverse range of guests discussing current affairs through a gender-focused lens. Diana will be our moderator.

    Lily Bednikov - Lily is a seasoned senior HR professional with a rich tapestry of global experience. With a career spanning 20+ years, she has navigated the intricacies of HR across diverse cultural landscapes. Lily’s held pivotal roles in multinational corporations and brings a wealth of professional and personal expertise in fostering inclusive workplaces and championing diversity initiatives. Committed to advancing women in the workplace, today she joins our panel as a valuable contributor to discussions on fostering diversity and empowering women (in particular on the topic of reward & recognition).

    Violeta Nestorova - Violeta is a Relationship Executive at Commonwealth Bank. With a distinguished career spanning senior corporate banking roles, Violeta Nestorova boasts extensive experience in relationship and risk management across diverse industries in Australia and Europe. Her track record includes managing funding requirements exceeding AU$50m and turnovers surpassing AU$ 150M. Skilled in growing corporate portfolios, originating new businesses, and structuring loans, Violeta excels in credit analysis, financial modelling, and business finance consulting. Known for strong relationship-building, negotiation, and leadership skills, she prioritizes superior service and embraces challenges with resilience. A trusted adviser, who thrives on exceeding expectations and fostering teamwork, bringing exceptional technical and analytical expertise to every endeavor.

    Afsaneh Rashidi - Afsaneh is a Management Consultant at L.E.K Consulting, Vice president of The Women in Management Club, and the President of the Net Impact Club (which focuses on social, environmental, and economic impacts) at Melbourne Business School. Afsaneh brings a wealth of expertise as a management consultant, specialising in strategy and M&A projects across diverse industries. With a focus on transport, new mobility, healthcare, and more, she excels in strategy development, market analysis, and operational improvement. A former leader in global business expansion, she drove 475% revenue growth during her tenure at CBLA, earning recognition in the Australian Financial Review's Fast 100 2020 list. Passionate about fostering partnerships and solving complex problems, Afsaneh advocates for collaboration and trust to drive mutual success. Her approachable demeanor and commitment to excellence make her a valuable asset to any team

    Panel Discussion Session: The event will start with an engaging panel discussion featuring four distinguished professionals,  each sharing their unique journey as women in Australia. Gain insights into their diverse experiences and perspectives. The session will conclude with an interactive Q&A, offering you the opportunity to participate and delve deeper into the topics discussed. So, come prepared with your questions!

    Networking Time: The perfect opportunity to meet more diverse women from the community, grow your professional networks and build meaningful connections that lead to real opportunities 

    Refreshments: A selection of nibbles and soft and alcoholic drinks will be provided. We will aim to cater for different dietary requirements. If you have any particular need, please contact us.
