International Women’s Day Ramadan Bazaar @ Food Connect Shed

Join us for a unique experience as Food Connect hosts our first International Women’s Day Ramadan Bazaar, in partnership with Support Groups QLD.

Aligned with this year’s theme, Balance the Scales, the evening celebrates dignity, safety and fairness for all women, regardless of background or identity.

Experience the flavours, stories and traditions of Ramadan, led by the incredible women of Sisters Support Inc., a group of women from African migrant and refugee backgrounds, building community, resilience and strength together.

Enjoy traditional foods, hear powerful women’s stories, meet local small businesses and celebrate the diversity of women across South Brisbane.

What to expect:

• Food stalls

• ONE free drink per ticket on arrival

• Dates and a small prayer area will be available for Iftar

• Local books, crafts and more

• FREE face painting for kids 12 and below (at the kids' corner)

• Entertainment

• Story-telling
