Every year, International Women's Day brings a new theme. In 2024, it is #InspireInclusion. 

To inspire inclusion means to celebrate diversity and empowerment. 

In 2024, the campaign theme Inspire Inclusion emphasizes the importance of diversity and empowerment in all aspects of society.

This year's campaign theme underscores the crucial role of inclusion in achieving gender equality. It calls for action to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create environments where all women are valued and respected. Inspire Inclusion encourages everyone to recognize the unique perspectives and contributions of women from all walks of life, including those from marginalized communities.

The digital and tech industries are traditionally well-known to be male-dominated. In recent years, however, we have seen a shift in these industries to encourage more female leaders and develop and train the younger female generation into roles that were predominantly of more interest to men. Could this mark the beginning of a new era for women in tech?

Melissa Apte, CEO, FlowBuilders

Melissa (Mel) Apte is the CEO of FlowBuilders, a Salesforce consulting practice that has been part of the Tank Stream Labs community since 2016. With a background in Marketing, Mel has over 20 years of experience in tech - including senior roles at Salesforce and eBay. Mel is also a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
