Sourdough Business Women Tweed Chapter in collaboration with Tweed to Byron Women in Business present a special edition April 2022 hub for International Women’s Day under the theme #Break the Bias.

Join us as Odette Blacklock and Sally Singh candidly share their experiences of bias and resultant learnings and growth that have helped to shape their successful careers.

Odette Blacklock is a health and medical expert, movement and magnetic mindset coach. Previously a contestant on Australian Survivor (season two), Ms Blacklock maintains her fitness as a semi pro-sprinter and as a QLD Masters state champion for SLS sprints and flags. She is a trusted health and medical professional specialising in sports podiatry and has worked with elite athletes and celebrities. Her expertise has been to design workshops and fitness education programs for international brands such as: Under Armour, Lorna Jane, Running Heroes, True Protein and the Stromlo running festival.

Sally Singh is an acclaimed professional photographer and a passionate entrepreneur starting her first business, Sal Singh Photography in 2013. She is the first female Australian-born Punjabi Indian professional wedding photographer and her work has taken her around Australia and the world. Born & raised in Murwillumbah NSW, she is the face behind @visitmurwillumbah, an Instagram handle that supports local businesses and shows the rest of Australia how beautiful the town really is. The images she has taken have been featured in Gourmet Traveller, The Tweed Tourism Guide & Qantas Travel Insider.

Sally also loves her Punjabi culture, especially the food, and her passion for it can be shown in her one-of-a-kind delicious Indian-fusion @grazewithsal platters.

Guests can expect to leave the hub feeling inspired and educated:

  • How we can celebrate diversity and difference as building blocks for strength in community and growth in our local economy
  • How we can practically nurture women’s equality
  • Practical tips for creating regular and positive habits within your week

Ticket price includes Husk grazing boards and the latest Husk cocktail. Additional drinks can be purchased from the bar.

$10 from each ticket purchased will be donated to Agape Outreach Inc.to support the amazing work they are doing in the local community. We will also be holding a raffle (cash onl) with some great prizes from Nutra Organics, Sharon Styman, Tweed Real Food & Husk Distillery.
