This International Women's Day, we are turning the spotlight on the incredible communities in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland that champion Women in Tech. For the first time, we've joined forces with these phenomenal organisations to bring you a night of inspiration, connection, and celebration.

✨ Girls in Tech is a global not-for-profit organisation which was founded in 2007 in the US and the New Zealand chapter opened in 2023. Our purpose is to create a space and community for women where they can unlesah the "girl" in them to pursue their asiprations in the field of technology and contributing to reducing the gender gap that exists in tech around the world.

✨ GridAKL is the epicentre of Auckland's tech and innovation, propelling early-stage startups. Based in Wynyard Quarter, this shared workspace fosters collaboration, connecting entrepreneurs with knowledge, resources, and impactful connections. More than a space, GridAKL is a dynamic community driving fresh thinking for a positive global impact.

✨ Manzana is an inclusive & safe space and community for women, diverse communities of entrepreneurs and allies, in tech and arts in Tamaki Makaurau.

✨ Migrants in Tech welcomes individuals in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland aspiring to join the booming tech sector. Connect with fellow newcomers and the local tech community in this safe space designed just for you. Embrace the opportunities, share experiences, and let's grow together in the exciting world of tech!

✨ She Sharp is a nonprofit founded in 2014 with the mission to bridge the gender gap in the STEM industry, one woman at a time, run entirely by volunteers. We've built a network where women can meet and connect with like-minded peers. We showcase careers and role models in STEM from different sectors and disciplines. We make careers in STEM for women possible through mentorship, networking and more.

✨ Women in Space Aotearoa New Zealand (WISANZ) is a professional network and inclusive community that supports women working in the space sector, provides mentorship for women wanting to enter the sector and encourages the next generation of women to pursue a career in space, particularly in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.

✨ Women in Tech Meetup Auckland is for folk in tech to network and connect, and to support and encourage each other in spite of the issues and challenges faced by women and gender-diverse folk in the tech industry.
Men are welcome to attend but the focus is on people who are women (cis and trans), nonbinary and gender-diverse folk.
We value the participation of each member of our community and want all attendees to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience.

✨ The Women in Tech (NZ) Facebook group powered by Maslow is a space for women or those who identify as women to share resources, ideas, conversations, and education on all things tech. We are here to support one another. Membership is open only to those living or working in New Zealand.
Whether you're a New Zealand entrepreneur or business seeking female talent, interested in learning a new tech skill or language, or in need of help finding opportunities in the industry, this group is for you.

✨ Women Tech Founders | Aotearoa Facebook group is an inclusive community for women and gender-diverse founders and operators in tech startups in Aotearoa (New Zealand). Our purpose is to unite a diverse group of women and gender-diverse entrepreneurs in tech, fostering the sharing of experiences, challenges, guidance, support, and celebration of wins as we build our ventures.

✨ Hot Girls Code is a podcast, created by Aorthi & Lola, all about software development, the tech industry & the experience of being women in tech. Hot Girls Code is all about creating a space for young women to learn about tech in a relatable and interesting way, showing women that they too have a place in tech.

✨ TechWomen is a group of passionate New Zealand tech, digital and ICT focused individuals from leading organisations that work together, with the support of NZTech, to help address one of the major challenges for the successful growth of technology in New Zealand – a shortage of women in tech roles.

We work together to help inspire girls into technology, support the growth of women in tech roles and to help develop policy and actions for improving diversity in the tech workplace.
