Ipswich Writers & Illustrators Writing Session
Description
Join other Ipswich writers for an afternoon of conversation, creativity and community.
Your hosts for the event will be Ipswich Writers & Illustrators admins, Caroline Slade and Jacinta Goodsell
If you have a story to tell but aren't sure what to do next, this is your opportunity to sit down with other writers, ask questions, share ideas, and connect with people who understand the struggle of getting imaginary friends to behave themselves on the page.
Here are five things you can expect if you attend:
A welcoming and judgement-free environment
No matter your age, genre, experience level, or writing style, everyone is welcome. This is a space for creativity, encouragement, and community.
Writing advice from local writers
Ask questions about plotting, characters, worldbuilding, publishing, motivation, writer’s block, or simply where to begin. There’s no such thing as a silly writing question.
Dedicated time to write
Bring your laptop, notebook, tablet, or scraps of paper and spend time actually working on your story alongside other creatives.
Conversations with people who “get it”
Writing can feel isolating at times. This event is a chance to meet others who understand the chaos of unfinished drafts, stubborn characters, and late-night inspiration.
Connection with the local creative community
Ipswich is filled with talented writers, artists, and storytellers. Events like this help build friendships, collaborations, and support networks that continue long after the session ends.
