Impact X Summit Shanghai

Cities across the world face complex challenges from managing rapid urbanization, protecting the environment and natural resources and strengthening climate resilience, to ensuring affordable housing and inclusive economic growth. Addressing these challenges, and achieving the UN goals for cities by 2030, will require a complete transformation of our urban systems. Investment in green infrastructure, smart city innovation, community engagement, and multi-stakeholder partnerships must all be strengthened and scaled to make our cities safe, resilient, sustainable and prosperous for all. 

To celebrate World Cities Day 2024, the Impact X Summit Shanghai on Urban Transformation 2030 will present innovative solutions and partnerships to create sustainable, resilient cities. In conjunction with the Shanghai International City & Architecture Expo, 31 October and 1 November 2024, the Summit will gather global city government leaders, urban planners, architects, developers and sustainability experts to discuss the transformation of urban systems and the future of city living. 

Shanghai, known for its rapid development and innovative urban strategies, provides the perfect backdrop to address the challenges and opportunities in urban resilience, sustainability, and liveability. Keynote speakers from government, industry, and academia will share case studies and insights, together with panel discussions, breakout sessions and networking to foster collaboration.
