IYNZ 2026 Convention with Abhijata Iyengar

Iyengar Yoga New Zealand is excited to be hosting Abhijata Iyengar for the 2026 Convention to be held at the Te Mahurehure Marae in Point Chevalier, Auckland.

Tickets in the main hall for the General Convention (Friday - Sunday) are now SOLD OUT. Please email iyengaryoganz@gmail to join the waiting list.

Alternatively, you can purchase an online ticket and practice from home, or at a studio.

CONVENTION SCHEDULE:

The schedule for the weekend is as follows:

Friday 13th February:

Registration 1.30pm -2.45pm

Powhiri 3pm - 3.45pm

Asana class 4pm - 6.30pm

Dinner 7.15pm - 9pm

Saturday 14th February

Asana class 9am - 12pm

Lunch 12pm - 2pm

Q&A with Abhijata 2-3pm

Asana class 3.30pm - 6pm

Sunday 15th February

Pranayama/asana class 7.30am - 9.30am

Morning tea 9.30am - 11am

Asana class 11am - 1.30pm

1.30pm Close of General Convention.

The General sessions will be livestreamed. Recordings will be available.

Monday 16th February 9.30am - 12.30pm Teacher Development session (for Teachers and registered Teacher Trainees). NB This session will not be livestreamed or recorded.

Convention price includes a catered dinner at 7.15pm on Friday 13th February which will be held at the Marae.

The convention is open to current members of Iyengar Yoga New Zealand or another country's Iyengar yoga association. General membership is $45 p.a. and you can sign up at our website iyengar-yoga.org.nz If you are an existing member, please make sure your membership fees are up to date.
