Jacaranda Festival Heritage Tour 2026: Unearth the Secrets of Grafton Cathedral
Description
Jacaranda Festival Cathedral Heritage Tours
Take a closer look inside one of Grafton’s most significant heritage buildings during this year’s Jacaranda Festival.
Christ Church Cathedral was designed by noted architect John Horbury Hunt and opened and dedicated in 1884. More than 140 years later, it remains a place of worship, music and community life in the heart of Grafton.
Our guided heritage tours will introduce you to the history and architecture of the Cathedral, including its stained glass, beautiful woodwork, historic bricks and the 1903 Norman & Beard organ.
You’ll also discover some of the Cathedral’s smaller and more unusual details - including paw prints in the hand-made bricks and a tiny antique porcelain doll hidden in the brickwork.
