Description

With twenty years of skin in the game Jack Ladder has built and destroyed his own world several times over, leaving only his seductive baritone as a bridge to navigate between.

Faking his way as a folk singer on his 2005 debut, Ladder revealed himself in 2025 as a true connoisseur of all noises from neoclassical to new wave, country and techno pop.

Throughout his career he has been seen onstage playing in the bands of Bill Callahan and Weyes Blood and requested as opening act for Angel Olsen, Father John Misty, John Cale and The Killers – twice – to open their stadium sized celebrations. Sharon Van Etten has even sung on his songs.

Spearheading a certain kind of movement that gave rise to his backing band ’The Dreamlanders’ and their cult classic album HURTSVILLE, he has been a back-room facilitator to street hustlers and playboys – Kirin J Callinan, Alex Cameron and Donny Benèt – collaborating on both their music and artwork.

In 2025 he released his eighth studio album 'Separation Rock', recorded in Hollywood in a week, they way they used to do it, with producer Zach Dawes (Lana Del Ray, T-Bone Burnett).

After sellout shows in Sydney & Melbourne last November, he is venturing into the steel cities for two special ticketed events in Newcastle & Port Kembla, bringing his ‘Separation Rock Trio” featuring Holly Conner on drums & Jasper Leak on bass.

Don't miss a rare opportunity to catch Jack Ladder in these intimate spaces before he disappears to Europe for the summer.
