Jack Ladder & his band
with special guests.

I do what I’m told and I go where I’m asked, within reason. Newcastle called and I answered. Port Kembla, another town of steel, screamed and I screamed back politely – Yes, I’ll be there. Then Sydney and Melbourne, expensive places to live and eat, let alone buy tickets said: We will pay you to play and let people in for free because these songs need to be heard. So the message is clear, I have shows next year. I will mostly be playing songs from my eighth studio album ‘Separation Rock’. It could be my best album. It’s slow and patient but works surprisingly well live on stage. I’m playing it in rock trio formation: guitar, bass and drums. It’s elemental and pure and feels like levitating and sinking at the same time. So keep asking and you might just receive. Ask nicely and I might play an old song for you. I also might tell you – That’s not my song or politely advise that you go and fuck yourself, but in a funny way – we can talk to each other like that because we’re old friends at this point. We’ve been around. New friends come at me, don’t just @ me.
