Jad Pinnone | Live at Nighthawks

Anchored by a resonant voice and raw, poetic storytelling, Jad Pinnone is a sonic poet whose music bridges continents and cultures. Drawing from his Shilha Moroccan and Sicilian-Italian heritage, Jad weaves together ambient blues, folk, and R&B-infused maqam chants to create deeply atmospheric, hypnotic soundscapes.

After standout performances at Port Fairy Folk Festival and St Kilda Festival, Jad returns to Melbourne with a bold new chapter — performing alongside a multicultural band that brings his vision to life. The live set explores Moroccan folklore, Sicilian traditions, and alternative soul with fresh instrumentation, improvisation, and groove-driven layers that invite you into a world both ancient and new.

For fans of Jeff Buckley, Tash Sultana, Frank Ocean, Matt Corby, and the deep, trance-like pulse of Gnawa and Mediterranean folk. Expect something intimate yet expansive — music that doesn’t just speak, but resonates.
