With a knack for melody and storytelling likened to Julia Jacklin and Adrienne Lenker, Anna’s is a voice worth listening to – pensive, assertive at times, powerful and yet subdued. Recently returning from playing at this years Nannup Music Festival, the young songwriter wrapped up 2023 with two industry nominations for ‘Best Vocalist’ and ‘Best Folk/Singer-Songwriter act’ at the WAM awards, a premiere for her music video ‘Crush’ on ABC’s rage and another most played 2023 track on RTR FM for her single ‘Lyrebird’. Following the release of her latest single ‘Shiny Thing’, an intimate orchestral track, Anna has just returned from a solo tour playing her first string of East Coast shows.

Rare Faction is the amorphous sonic output of sound designer & technician Chris Wright, previously known for contributing his drumming talents to Methyl Ethel, and as a long-serving sound engineer and organiser within some of our city's most beloved live music establishments. Under the Rare Faction moniker, he makes spacious, painterly and ever-shifting ambient music using a modular synthesiser — lush drifting soundscapes, vivid arpeggios, bright melodic tones.
