This is a really special one for us. James K, E Fishpool, Micah Heathwood x Umki. Having them come together at Gang Gang feels like a rare alignment. These are artists who move with their own gravity and intention. Come, lean in, and listen.

James K

A version of james K was born. Comprised of bones, reactive metals and a larynx with freckled eyes that catalyzes that mix, she can now see through all the schemes. This is the truth. When she chews gum, it’s not clear which one of her personas does it. Since their first release in 2013, describing them separately is grunt work as they switch places, cosplay each other and would most likely lull you into a lonesome dream. Together, they know how to produce, sound, film and edit. Thus, they are brought to the table, performing and DJing in clubs and theaters, along composers and children alike. She has performed in festivals and venues such as Dekmantel, Sustain Release, Mutek, iii Points, and Nowadays.. In recent years she has shared the stage with james Ferraro, Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, Yves Tumor, Morton Subotnick, Nick Leon, and Priori, among many others.

She has released with labels such as AD 93, Incienso, PAN, iDEAL, Dial, UNO, among others, and started her label She Rocks! in 2015. Her collaboration with hoodie, a 10” titled ‘Scorpio,’ was released in summer 2023 via AD 93, landing on numerous EOTY lists. She followed up with another single, trip-hop gem, ‘Blinkmoth (July Mix),’ which has garnered similar attention, landing at number 2 on Resident Advisor’s ‘Best Tracks of 2024,’ and numerous other EOY lists, the former publication naming her producer of the year. K has been a resident on NTS, with her show, ‘Trip Lick,’ since 2019, and she has provided mix’s for series such as Dekmantel, Crack and Fact. She is sought after for her signature magnetic vocals, lyricism and production and, through collaborations, has created critically acclaimed music with artists such as Moin, Fergus Jones + Huerco S., Priori, Special Guest DJ, Yves Tumor, Drew McDowall, LEYA, and many others. A world that she abandons and then builds upon.

Alias Error

Alias Error, is a singer, songwriter and DJ currently based in Berlin. As the lead singer and principal songwriter of the duo a.s.o., Alia released an eponymous debut album in 2023 to critical acclaim.

In 2024, Alias Error kicked off the year collaborating with alt-indie stalwart RIP Swirl, lending her signature hypnotic vocals to the single “I Found You Out” from his sophomore album Perfectly Blue. Anchored by Alia’s unique voice, her words speak of restraint and release, moving fluidly from the elegiac to the euphoric and further cementing Alias Error’s position as an uncompromising rising star in the electronic and alt-pop scene. Most recently, she featured on JASSS’s Eager Buyers EP, released to high acclaim in September. The track “It’s A Hole” gestures toward the dark, atmospheric and cerebral world she will fully inhabit in the coming year.

Alias Error is now gearing up for her first solo record that will be released in 2026, The record looks to mould all of Alia’s influences into a singular expression - at once powerful and nimble, and unlike anything else. Spanning effortlessly between ethereal dream-pop to the more moodier corners of electronic spaces, Alias Error will be collaborating with acclaimed producers Sepehr, Priori, Ben Bondy, to name a few.

E-Fishpool

E Fishpool is a boundary-pushing live performer, by many accounts Eora's best kept secret. They craft a unique live/hybrid set, introducing something different each time they perform. E Fishpool was one of the first electronic acts we had a Gang Gang (many years ago now), so we are stoked to host them again.

Micah Heathwood x Umki

Micah Heathwood and Umki are two of Canberra’s most loved and unique artists. Micah Heathwood, through his solo project, notably toured earlier this year with Kamasi Washington, while Umki has recently returned from their own international tour in 2025. Both artists are forward-thinking and firmly established within their respective worlds.

Micah and Umki have performed a small selection of special live shows in the past, most recently in 2023 alongside YL Hooi. Their collaborations are rare, making them a must see.
