James Morrison & Big Band Liechtenstein
Hoi, G’day and Groove Away
The Soul of Oz Tour 2025

Imagine a Big Band from one of Europe’s smallest countries making its way to Australia – at the invitation of one of the nation’s most renowned jazz musicians, James Morrison. Sound extraordinary? It certainly is! The Big Band Liechtenstein, founded over 40 years ago as an ensemble of the Liechtenstein Music School, has steadily evolved into a solid musical force with tremendous potential. In the meantime, it has become Liechtenstein’s flagship jazz ensemble.

While performing in Europe, the band members met James Morrison, sparking a long-standing friendship. Together, they’ve electrified concert halls from Liechtenstein through Austria and Germany all the way to Switzerland. And it doesn’t stop there: other jazz luminaries such as Peter Herbolzheimer, Bob Mintzer, Willie Murillo, and the Australian vocalist Olivia Chindamo have also performed with the Big Band Liechtenstein.

Now, get ready for an evening brimming with musical surprises as this high-energy group takes Australia by storm for the very first time. Experience a thrilling blend of Alpine warmth and world-class jazz, crowned by James Morrison’s virtuoso performance. Be part of this special moment when tiny Liechtenstein and vast Australia come together in perfect musical harmony!
