ABOUT THE ARTIST
With a career spanning forty years Anna Grigson has been a long-standing advocate for the representation and promotion of Australia's premier artists. Her experience crosses many contemporary art mediums, including Asian art, ceramics, glass, First Nations art, jewellery, painting, printmaking, sculpture and textiles.
After working with some of the finest public and commercial galleries in Sydney, Anna's focus shifted to specialising in contemporary studio glass and ceramics with Sabbia Gallery, being established in 2005. Under Anna's guidance and commitment, the gallery has developed an international reputation as the premier Australian gallery for these innovative art mediums.
Sabbia is a representational gallery working with individual practitioners in addition to artists from remote Indigenous art centers across Australia. Sabbia's artists are a diverse group that are internationally renowned for the creation of dynamic and innovative works of art. They demonstrate the variety, quality and growth of the ceramics, glass and fibre art movements within Australia and together are a compelling exhibiting presence.
The gallery presents a comprehensive yearly schedule of solo exhibitions by our stable of artists, and curated group exhibitions, including the annual Masters series and the biannual Indigenous Together series.
In 2025 Sabbia celebrates its 20-year anniversary, having been committed to the representation and exhibition of Australia's most exciting artists. Sabbia is dedicated to the ongoing placement of our artists within both major private collections and public institutions worldwide.
Founder, Director and Curator of Sabbia, Anna Grigson is also an approved valuer for the Australian Federal Government's Cultural Gifts Program.
