JAMIE HUTCHINGS
Jamie Hutchings is a singer/songwriter/musician and sometime producer from Sydney, Australia. He has been recording and performing since the mid ‘90’s.
He formed and fronted rock band Bluebottle Kiss before concentrating on his solo work after Bluebottle Kiss went on hiatus in 2007. Of his recent work Mess and Noise magazine has said “Jamie Hutchings’ art has an air of authority and purpose, a sense of space that is quintessentially his”. He is currently working on a new project entitled Infinity Broke.
MATT MALONE
Matt Malone is an iconoclastic singer-songwriter hailing from the goldfields region of Victoria, Australia.
Matt’s bold baritone / tenebrous imagery have often been compared to Michael Gira, Nick Cave, David Eugene Edwards, Mark Lanegan, Johnny Cash + he has cultivated a cult audience with his intense live performances having shared the stage with the likes of Kim Salmon (Beasts Of Bourbon) + Hugo Race (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds) on many prestigious stages across Australia and overseas.
2023 saw Malone release his critically acclaimed - For The Term Of My Natural Life (VRS Records, CD / Vinyl), solidifying his status as one of the consummate singer-songwriters of the Australian underground. He followed it up w/ a small collection of electrified covers called - Made In The Image, Vol. 1, featuring a reinterpretation of the classic ‘I’m Bad Like Jesse James’ which was subsequently shared + endorsed by the John Lee Hooker estate.
MICHAEL PLATER
Michael Plater is an Australian experimental/indie/folk/noir musician, who currently divides his time between
Australia and the U.K. He has played all over the world and put out a series of releases on such U.K. labels as
Reverb Worship, Hypostatic Union, Woodford Halse, and Dub Cthonic. His most recent album, “Ghost
Music”, was highly acclaimed, and was voted as the 4th best album of 2023 in U.K. music publication Sun 13.
He also plays in the “horror soundscapes” project The Northern Lighthouse Board, the “Greek psych folk”
collective The Taps of the Holy Trinity, and the “ambient hauntronica” duo Ghosts of Electricity. He is
currently based in Brisbane, Australia.
TRAPPIST AFTERLAND
Under the guise of Trappist Afterland, Adam G Cole has carved out an uncompromising and
often exciting back catalogue of acidic spiritual folk that weaves Eastern time signatures,
ethereal drones and meditative audio journeys.
Adam Geoffrey Cole is probably best known for the albums he released with various choice
contributors under the banner of Trappist Afterland, who have become a byword for some of the
most genuinely exciting, ambitious and innovative psych folk over the last decade. Whether
considering 2016’s ornate and detailed ‘God’s Good Earth’, or last year’s epically scaled but
deeply personal ‘Seaside Ghost Tales’, Trappist offered a highly individual approach that
encompassed gnostic beliefs, personal philosophy and a tangible love and reverence for
underground 60’s and 70’s acid folk.
