Japanese Bookbinding Workshop

Join us for a 90-minute hands-on workshop where you'll craft two beautiful notebooks using traditional Japanese stab binding -- a timeless technique with a single thread that never retraces its path. We'll start with a classic five-hole binding, then proceed to the more intricate hemp leaf binding. Finally, we will decorate the cover with Japanese patterns. No experience needed, just bring your curiosity. This is a class you should not miss!

Your instructor is Natalia Drachinskaya, a multidisciplinary artist based in Santa Clara, CA. She is a graduate of the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) in Moscow, Russia, and has participated in art residencies, exhibitions, and workshops in the Netherlands, Georgia, Japan, Hungary, and Russia.
