Japanese Calligraphy Workshop (ages 12- 25 only)

In the workshop participants will be able to choose and learn to write from three sets of Japanese written characters; Hiragana, Katakana, or Kanji.
Maiko Howell was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan and began doing calligraphy at age 5 under the guidance of her mother - also a calligrapher. Maiko became a master of Japanese traditional calligraphy in 2017 and has held workshops for children and adults throughout Eastern Japan, and now lives in Tasmania with her family.
THIS WORKSHOP IS HELD AT A YOUTH ARTS AND RECREATION CENTRE AND ONLY AVAILABLE TO 12-25YEAR OLDS

Our workshops at YouthARC have limited spots and can be popular. To minimise the number of people missing out, please be mindful of others and only book the number of tickets you need. If you have booked a ticket and can no longer attend, please cancel your booking or contact us on 0429 859 877, so we can offer your spot to someone else on the waitlist.
A member of the YouthARC team may give you a call or TXT to confirm your attendance a few days prior to the workshop.
