Japanese Language Speech Contest 2026 (ビクトリア州日本語弁論大会)

The aim of the contest is to encourage learners of Japanese as a Second Language, and background speakers who speak Japanese at home, to practise and consolidate their language skills and public speaking skills by presenting a speech on a topic of their choice to an audience. A second aim is to provide an opportunity for interaction between learners of Japanese and the Japanese speaking community in Victoria.

This page is for tickets to attend as an audience member to watch the speech contest.

Contestants and invited VIP guests do not need to register themselves, however family members, etc should register to attend as audience members.

About the Japanese Language Speech Contest Victoria, Inc.

The Japanese Language Speech Contest Victoria Inc is comprised of volunteer academics, educators and supporters that organise and conduct the annual speech contest in Victoria in order to promote the teaching and learning of the Japanese language.
