Jarry EP Launch @ Shotkickers
Event description
Jarry is celebrating the launch of his EP happy(ish) with a first ever full band performance.
Jarry, the moniker of producer and musician Jarred Young, (Bad Pony, KIT, FEELDS) will be bringing the debut release to life with help from a star studded band including Katie Wighton (All Our Exes Live in Texas, KIT, FEELDS), Mei (Meiwa), Mark Webber (Bad Pony, KIT, Jeane, FEELDS) and Davin Johnston (Slowcoaching).
Recorded in his home studio during a hermit-esque stint on a small Queensland island, happy(ish) brings an eclectic synthesis of moody indie-pop, spacey new-wave keyboards and moments of pure cathartic rock. A lyrically stark and brutally honest release, it will make you feel as if you’re treading through his personal journal.
Honouring the line up with songwriting to die for and the uppermost echelon of Melbourne musicians is The Hunter Express. Also gracing the evening with their presence are local indie favourites Blanco Tranco, who will be supplying equal doses of jangle and croon.”
