JARSQUAD brings people together through communal food-preservation, to practice sharing ingredients, recipes, and know-how by making jams and preserves as a ‘squad’.

We will chop and chat to turn summer surplus ingredients to jams, chutneys, ferments and other tasty preserves!

No experience necessary, just a willingness to get chatting and involved with some food prep and cooking. :)

PLEASE LET US KNOW if you have any food allergies or additional needs in advance.
PLEASE SHARE if you have any access needs, so we can better assist

PLEASE BYO APRON (if you have one - it helps us lots to launder less!), and hair ties and/or caps

There's no obligation for you to stay the entire duration but it would be great to have as much of your company as possible.

In addition to your ticket contribution, we'd welcome any extra fruit or supplies you'd like to offer/trade using our exchange rate (image below) onsite.

Ticket costs and fair access

Our workshops normally cost £16 per person at minimum — but thanks to support from the Network for Social Change, we're able to offer tickets to our workshops on a flexible price basis. We don't want cost to be a barrier for anyone, but do pay what feels right so JarSquad can stick around. 🩷

Suggested donation £10
