JASS Deakin gladly announces the T1 2025 Japanese language Classes (JLC)!

Are you interested in learning some Japanese? Or wanting to practice talking to Japanese people; students, friends or otherwise? Our JLC classes would be perfect for you and your friends. The classes are taught in groups offered at Beginner and Intermediate levels, ideal for complete beginners, or those familiar with simple phrases and the alphabets.

At each level, classwork is broken up into 2 distinct units, where students will learn a foundational skills, and then expand upon these learnings through classwork, quizzes, group activities, communication exercises.

The Different Class Tickets Will Include as Follows:

2, 4 or 8-weeks of our intensive JLC course, starting from Deakin Calendar Week 2 through to Week 9
End-Of-Course Graduation Party, to celebrate our achievements in JLC this Trimester
Access to the JLC coursework, including classwork, homework, and materials
Access to your teachers, who will mark your work, assist you in-class and are available to help after class through the JASS email

These communication exercises include:

Reading exercises; Individual or group lead reading and comprehension tasks.
Written exercises; Practice writing Japanese, by constructing your own sentences, and formatting them for written communication.
Speaking exercises; Guided individual practice talking IN JAPANESE, with other students, JLC teachers, and volunteer Japanese people

Level 1 - Alphabets and Basic Communications

Level 2 - Self-Introductions and Daily Vocabulary

Tuesday 1-2 (beginner)

Thursday 3:30 - 4:30 (beginner)

Thursday 4:30 - 5:30 (intermediate)
