Monday Jazz at Hybrid Warehouse with 'Gillian Moorman Group'
Event description
Intimate Jazz Sessions with 'Gillian Moorman Group' (GMG)
'GMG' invites you into a world of Jazz warmth and rhythm on a cruisey Monday night at Hybrid Warehouse. We'd love to share an evening of live jazz with you in this intimate setting where every performance is transformed into a soulful journey.
Each song becomes a story told through sound. Communication within the trio creates a sense of unity, allowing the audience to feel as if they are part of an exclusive musical conversation where each song becomes a story told through sound, a result of a long-standing musical relationship.
With the breeze coming through our vintage warehouse space on a balmy summers evening, it's a night not to be missed every second Monday right through to Xmas. The Kombi Ute Bar opens at 5.30pm for after work drinks and $15/head includes a welcome drink of your choice. Also, feel free to bring a cheese platter or order in from local Freo restaurants as you wish.
Musicians:
- Gillian Moorman (Vocals): Heartfelt interpretations of jazz standards ranging from Carmen McRae to Roberta Flack
- Alex Borthwick (Guitar): Weaving intricate melodies complementing Gillian's vocals. His soulful playing adds depth to each performance, blending classical jazz influences with contemporary flair.
- Manoli Vouyoucalos (Bass): Manoli's rich, resonant bass lines provide a steady pulse that keeps the music grounded. His deep understanding of rhythm and harmony creates a seamless interplay between the musicians.
Join Gillian, Alex & Manoli for an evening of intimate jazz interpretations of classic jazz standards and contemporary music featuring sets of soulful ballads, funk infusions and gritty blues.
