JAZZ BEHIND THE GREEN DOOR featuring 'LIZ PLAYER'

Liz Player is an up-and-coming Sydney-based Jazz vocalist pushing the boundaries of musical creativity, entertainment and storytelling.

Emerging from the vibrant musical scene of the Sydney Conservatorium, Liz has been mentored by Jazz greats such as Judy Bailey, Kevin Hunt and Craig Scott. Thus she has honed a sound that evokes the Jazz vocal masters of the past and the genre-pushing artists of today, whilst always centering audience experience.

Described as a “powerful”, “evocative” and “entirely singular” performer by accomplished vocalist Nadia Piave, Liz has showcased her craft across multiple sell-out headline shows and on some of the largest stages in Australia, including Qudos Bank Arena and the ICC. With her first live album released in 2023, Liz also regularly performs all around Sydney for organisations such as the NSW Government, Verve Creative Entertainment and Dusk Till Dawn Music.

Liz is currently working towards releasing an EP of original music commencing a Master’s Degree in Performance at a New York University. She intends to use this experience to kickstart an international performing career representing the Australian Jazz scene and redefining the role of the jazz singer in contemporary society.
