Learn the fundamentals of jazz dance in a safe, fun and inclusive space.

Together we will break down the technique of core skills used within jazz dance including weight transference, turns, kicks, jumps as well develop skills in isolations, rhythm and coordination. We’ll integrate the skills into fun dancey combos, and you bet the playlist will be bangin’ with both nostalgic and current bops on rotation.

This course will be great for those new to dance, as well as those looking to refine their dance practice.

About your teacher:
Leah (she/her), is an experienced and passionate dance educator, having taught dance to all ages and skill levels over the past 15 years. She adores sharing dance in community and creating spaces that feel connected, joyful and expressive! You’ll catch her around the Brunny East area sipping long blacks at Carolina, and strolling along the Merri.
