Jazz Upstairs is the newest jazz venue in Sydney, featuring emerging jazz musicians playing original tracks.
Coming up on Wednesday 24th May is the Tessie Overmyer Quintet.
Tessie Overmyer has established herself as one of the most exciting, dynamic saxophone players in the Australian jazz scene, rapidly gaining recognition for a maturity that appears well beyond her years.
She will be joined by fellow notable young musicians, George Greenhill on drums, Harley Coleman on guitar, and Matt Harris on piano, as well as Aussie jazz legend Jonathan Zwartz on bass.
This group will be performing all original music by Tessie. Expect lush melodies, good grooves, and daring improvisations!
