JBI Evidence Implementation Training Program - April 2025
Event description
This program is being delivered online via Zoom.
The JBI Evidence Implementation Training Program empowers health professionals to improve patient outcomes and provides proven approaches to implementing evidence into practice.
This is a six-month, evidence-based implementation program comprising of two, 5-day intensive training workshops and an evidence implementation project undertaken in the workplace over the intervening months. Participants are facilitated by JBI Research Fellows as they develop, implement and report on their projects during the six months.
The Evidence Implementation Training Program is for clinicians, managers, policy makers and quality managers who are passionate about improving patient care and recognise the need to implement evidence into day-to-day clinical practice. Build your competency in understanding implementation research, and develop knowledge to improve the adoption, implementation and sustainability of evidence-based practices in health service settings.
During the program participants are provided with proven approaches to implementing evidence into practice and are equipped to practically apply evidence in their own clinical settings by developing clinical leadership skills and strengths to actively lead change, including;
• Defining best practice in their practice area
• Conducting unbiased clinical audits and engaging in quality improvement processes
• Implementing frameworks and using software to get research into practice and to apply clinical evidence
• Designing and executing strategies to implement evidence-based practice in their own work environment.
This program includes the one-day Clinical Leadership Workshop which will take place during the first of the two 5-day training workshops.
The Program includes:
• WEEK ONE: Monday 7 April - Friday 11 April 2025 includes Clinical Leadership Workshop
9.00am - 5.00pm ACST (Australian Central Standard Time)
• WEEK TWO: TBC - This will be confirmed once the program has commenced and progress can be established. Week 2 is usually held at least 6 months after Week 1.
• A workplace evidence implementation project conducted over the intervening months
Before registering for this intensive program, be sure to share your ideas with your workplace supervisor as their support in both time and resources is key to the long-term success of your project. We would anticipate that support is provided for program participants in the workplace both during and at the conclusion of the program to allow them to share and implement the knowledge gained during the program (including a minimum of three hours per week to conduct their project). Regular support from a JBI Research Facilitator will also include implementation project planning and feedback (including developing a project protocol), and drafting a publication in the second week of program.
